Ernest A. Cardona is an experienced family law attorney with more than 30 years of practice, handling matters ranging from straightforward cases to highly complex disputes. A native of San Jose, California, Ernest brings a depth of knowledge and practical insight to every stage of the family law process.
Before beginning his academic career, Ernest proudly served in the United States Army Reserve, the United States Army, and the California Air National Guard. He later earned his Bachelor of Arts in English, magna cum laude, from San Jose State University in 1991. Ernest went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1995. In 2023, he was also admitted to the Oregon State Bar.
Outside of his legal practice, Ernest enjoys cooking—a lifelong passion that led him to attend culinary school and work professionally as a cook and chef. He also enjoys traveling, film, and exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific West.
